Before Breakfast: A Script Font for Creative Branding

I’ve been working on a new brand identity for a local café that’s been around for years but wants to refresh its look. It’s a cozy, welcoming place with a strong community vibe, and the owner wants the branding to reflect that warmth and authenticity. When I opened my blank brand board, I knew I needed something that felt personal and handcrafted. That’s when I pulled out Before Breakfast, a beautiful and flowing handwritten font that immediately caught my eye.

Before Breakfast for Wedding Invitations and Elegant Branding

As I started sketching out logo ideas, I thought about how Before Breakfast could help create a sense of intimacy and charm. The font has a natural, organic flow that feels like it was written by hand, which made me think of wedding invitations—those moments where you want to capture both elegance and emotion. I tested it on a few mockups, pairing it with a clean sans-serif typeface for contrast. The result was a balance between personality and professionalism that felt just right for the café’s brand.

Before Breakfast isn’t just for weddings or invitations—it’s versatile enough to work across multiple platforms. I used it as the primary text in the café’s logo, and it added a touch of character without being too bold or overwhelming. On social media graphics, it brought a friendly energy that matched the café’s vibe. Even on product packaging, the font looked elegant and approachable, making it feel like part of the customer experience.

Before Breakfast for Social Media Post Logos and Digital Branding

One of the first things I did was create a set of social media post logos using Before Breakfast. I wanted the logos to be simple yet memorable, so I paired the font with a subtle background texture that gave it depth without distracting from the message. The result was a series of logos that felt cohesive and easy to recognize across different platforms.

I also considered how Before Breakfast would perform in digital environments. Since it’s a script font, I had to make sure it remained legible at smaller sizes. I tested it on Instagram posts, website headers, and email templates, and it held up surprisingly well. The slight variation in stroke thickness added visual interest without compromising readability.

Before Breakfast for Product Packaging and Label Design

When it came to designing the café’s product packaging, I knew the font needed to be both stylish and functional. Before Breakfast worked beautifully on labels and tags, especially when combined with a minimalist design. I used it for the main text on coffee bags and mugs, and it helped create a sense of craftsmanship that aligned with the café’s values.

I also experimented with different weights and styles of Before Breakfast to see how they affected the overall look. The lighter variations were perfect for accents and supporting text, while the bolder ones worked well for headlines and taglines. It was reassuring to know that the font offered flexibility in terms of style and use.

Before Breakfast for Advertising and Print Materials

For the café’s advertising materials, I wanted to ensure that Before Breakfast would translate well into print. I printed out several mockups and checked how the font looked on different paper stocks and finishes. It maintained its beauty and clarity even when printed in black and white, which is always a good sign.

I also used Before Breakfast in flyers and posters, where it helped draw attention to key messages. Its flowing nature made it ideal for headlines and call-to-action text, while still keeping the rest of the design clean and uncluttered. It was a great reminder that a well-chosen font can significantly impact how a brand is perceived.

Before Breakfast for Wall Hangings and Creative Display

One of the more creative uses I explored was incorporating Before Breakfast into wall hangings and decorative elements. The font’s artistic quality made it perfect for creating custom signs or art pieces that could be displayed in the café. I even designed a small series of quotes and phrases using the font, which added a personal touch to the space.

I found that Before Breakfast worked best when paired with other fonts that complemented its style. For example, using a modern sans-serif font for body text helped balance out the handcrafted feel of the script. This kind of font pairing is essential when building a cohesive brand identity that feels both unique and professional.

Before Breakfast for Brand Consistency and Recognition

Throughout the project, one of the most important considerations was consistency. I made sure that Before Breakfast was used consistently across all brand assets, from business cards to online banners. This helped reinforce the café’s identity and made it easier for customers to recognize the brand.

It’s also worth noting that Before Breakfast comes with a range of styles and alternates, which gave me the flexibility to adapt it to different design needs. Whether I was creating a logo, a social media graphic, or a product label, the font always felt like the right choice.

In the end, Before Breakfast proved to be a valuable asset in the café’s branding journey. It added a personal touch to the design while maintaining a level of professionalism that resonated with the target audience. If you’re looking for a script font that can elevate your brand, Before Breakfast is definitely worth considering.
